Ali came to Cornerstone Animal Hospital in the fall of 2007 after moving here from her home state, California. She loves Texas but does miss her family out west! Ali was new to the field when she started, but has grown to be one of our friendliest and efficient technicians. She will be celebrating 10 years with Cornerstone in 2017. We could not be more grateful and honored that she has spent this time with us! She has two bichon/poodle mixes, Austin and Buda, who will also be turning 10! In her free time, Ali enjoys being a mother to 3 wonderful young adults, eating and cooking vegan food, exploring Texas, sewing, and hanging out with friends.
April joined Cornerstone in February of 2012 and will be celebrating 5 years with us! She has been a technician 16 years, and treats all animals with love, empathy and dignity. She has two four-legged kids of her own, a chihuahua named Kit, who loves to sleep and eat carrots. As well as a sphynx named Loxy who enjoys snuggling in warm blankets fresh from the dryer . When she is not at work or pet sitting, she enjoys spending time with her high school sweetheart husband Garrett and their children, MaKenzie (6yrs), Holland (4yrs), and baby Krew. As a family they like shopping for antiques and lots of outdoor activities.
Olivia has been in the veterinary industry for 8 years. She grew up in the Driftwood area, and now resides in Kyle. She has several pets including an Amazon parrot Corey, who was rescued from a bad environment but now is happy, loud and messy. Olivia can be found cracking us up in the back, or bouncing around the clinic spreading her contagious positive attitude. In her down time, she enjoys movies, humor, concerts, eating and spending time with her sweet bird.
Fallon has been with Cornerstone since August of 2015 but has been a Technician since 2008. Fallon moved her from a small town called Elgin, but now calls Kyle home. She has two dogs, Cooner, a 12-year-old Australian Shepard Mix and Oliver, a 7 month old Blue Heeler mix. Fallon's other hobbies include dancing, singing, and spending time with her family at the park or on the river.
Kirsten has been with Cornerstone for a year now but has been in the veterinary field for two. She is a local girl and grew up right here in Buda. We are sure glad she stayed local! Kirsten is working toward becoming a Veterinarian and uses her skills to provide outstanding care to our clients. When she is not here, she enjoys time with her cat and five guinea pigs. Her hobbies include reading and art.
Liz came to us in the summer of 2015 as one of our full-time receptionists and has advanced to join our team of Veterinary Technicians. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a minor in Psychology from Texas State University in the fall of 2016. Although her degree may say different, Liz always knew that she wanted to work with animals due to her deep love and respect for them. She has worked at boarding facilities and animal shelters for the last 10 years. She has a 4-year-old long-haired dachshund named Mr. Biggs and a kitty named Wooly. They run her life and she wouldn't have it any other way! In her free time she enjoys shopping and spending time with her friends and family.
Kim moved to Texas from California in the winter of 1998. She has been in the veterinary field since 1994, and since coming to Texas she has worked for some great veterinarians. Kim joined Cornerstone Animal Hospital in the spring of 2009 and you'll find her in the front desk area assisting clients or sometimes in the back helping with patients. Kim is kept busy with her husband, 2 kids, her 2 cats Ruby and Grover, and her 2 dogs, Ariel the 3-legged wonder dog and Sally the dachshund. In down time Kim enjoys watching football, both college (Fight on Trojans!) and NFL, researching family history and traveling back to California to visit with family.
Danielle has been with Cornerstone for over two years now. She began as a part of our reception team and has progressed to become our Hospital Relations Manager. Danielle has always surrounded herself with a variety of animals and participated in 4-H and FFA. She is originally from San Antonio but recently moved up to Kyle and now calls that home with her husband Chris and their infant son Damon. She has two adorable Boston Terriers named Bubba and Rockefeller that we all fall in love with each time they come in for a visit. When she isn't running the front with a smile, Danielle and her husband love to take road trips on the search for great BBQ or go walking as a family.
Chris is a co-founder of Cornerstone Animal Hospital along with her husband, Dr. Joe Burke. She manages most of our business accounting and finances, and is always looking for new opportunities to reach out to the community. She and Dr. Burke have three sons, all Aggies, who make their parents very proud. The Burke family has always had a wide variety of pets, ranging from dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, pigs, chickens, and turkeys. Currently, they have 1 dog Aggie, 2 cats Ali and April (named after our technicians!), and a few laying hens.
