Dr. Leea Wilkinson was born and raised in Waiahole Valley on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.
After graduating from Punahou School, she surrendered to her adventurous spirit and moved clear across the country to Massachusetts, where she survived four New England winters and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Upon graduation, and apparently not done with snow, she traveled to the Rocky Mountains, where she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
Upon graduation (and finally done with snow), Dr. Wilkinson practiced veterinary medicine for a short while in Las Vegas, Nevada, before making the move to Texas in 2005 and has refused to leave since.
With a natural love of puzzles and learning, Dr. Wilkinson approaches every patient as a new and exciting adventure. She loves to get to know the ins and outs of each cat and dog so she can provide the best care possible. Her passions include internal medicine, behavior, and the human-animal bond. Her career goal is to have every animal that passes through her hands better because of it.
Dr. Wilkinson is the proud mom of 3 amazing kids. In her free time, you can find her snuggling on the couch with a cat and a good book, enjoying a delicious meal out with her husband, or traveling to watch one of her kids’ sporting events. She has 4 cats and 2 dogs and would add more, but her husband won’t let her.
